Wash your face AM and PM with Castile Milk solution. Recipe: Combine 1 cup of water and two drops of Castile Soap; it should be milky in appearance. Pour into Spray Bottle. Spray face, and then pat dry with color-free cotton cloth, then get a fresh cloth and dry face THOROUGHLY. Be sure not to use those two facecloths again. Apply 1 drop Tamanu to forehead, and to left/right cheeks—massage into skin. Do not touch face. No steaming, no moisturizer needed. Do this AM/PM until skin has cleared. Discard Castile Milk every 24hr, keep it refrigerated and wash spray bottle/spray nozzle every day. DO NOT use any other skincare products while using Tamanu Protocol. Morning or night -after you spray your skin with your toner, you then apply treatment serum followed by toner and moisturizer if needed. In the morning be sure to apply sunscreen as your final step.
  • What is skin cycling?
Skin cycling means alternating your chosen serum(s) at least every 90 days so you do not develop tolerance to the ingredients within. Develop a regimen that works for you for that timeframe. There is no one Skin Cycling Regimen, everyone is unique. A classic is two serums: apply one in AM, the other in PM. If you only have 4 days to devote to skin care, then apply the serum on those 4 days—on the other days it could be as simple as: oil cleanse, toner, moisturize (if you require), sunscreen, and perhaps a steam session and exfoliation. BUT on the 7th day, you will only use toner-hydrosol-floral water and IF absolutely needed: serum-free moisturizer. The goal is to let your skin rest from the oils.
  • How do I know how to skin cycle my particular regimen?
By following the above information. Plus, if you have had a paid consultation, Skin Cycling is also discussed.
  • Where do I get a recommended list of skin care tools for my regimen?
You've got lots of options for finding tools: Carisa's TikTok's Showcase, then change the SORT BY from 'Recommended" to 'Creator's Choice'. Tools are also available in the VIP Store, Amazon, TEMU, and LinkTree. If you had a Beauty By Carisa Consultation you typically have tool recommendations as part of that service.
  • What is a carrier oil?
A carrier oil is the fatty part of the plant. It is an oil that is a larger molecule. Every essential oil (with few exceptions) needs a carrier oil to apply to the skin. Every recipe already has a balanced amount of essential oils and carrier oils. FYI, Coconut Oil is a barrier oil, while Castor Oil is a penetration oil - you will rarely see these oils used on their own in any BBC Skincare recipe.
  • How do I know what a carrier oil is and how do I know what an essential oil is?
When you purchase your oil, the product label/product description will specify “carrier oil” or “essential oil”.
