One study, published in “Pharmacognosy Magazine” showed that products containing carrot seed oil have a natural SPF of ~38 to 40. This compound absorbs UVB light and is commonly used in sunscreens.
Because of its antioxidant value and UVB protection, carrot seed oil may help reduce hyperpigmentation and even skin tone. It also may improve skin texture.
