My one special ingredient I add to this recipe is a blend called Tone (a mixture of Lemon, Grapefruit, Clary Sage & Lavender)- if you can't get the Jade Bloom Tone blend you can buy the oils. It's cheaper to buy the blend. https://jadebloom.com/tone-skincare.html?a=89e1
Or get these essential oils if not buying the Jade Bloom Tone:
Lemon
Grapefruit
Clary Sage
Lavender
If you have Acne Prone Skin or Acne you will need to add Tamanu oil to this face wash.
How to blend recipe- can be doubled for 8 oz of wash or for body wash
For a 6 oz bottle:
add 1/2 cup olive oil
Add 1 tablespoon of saponified olive oil (castile soap) to the olive oil
Mix with spoon - will change colors, then add
Marula Oil 1 Oz
Mix, and add Tone to the mixture, 25 drops
Or if using essential oils instead of Tone, add:
5 drops each of: Lemon EO, Grapefruit EO, Clary Sage EO
10 drops of Lavender EO
(If you are using Tone blend from Jade Bloom you do NOT need to add the 4 essential oils above)
If adding Tamanu due to Acne/Acne Prone skin, add 3 tablespoons and mix well.
Next: Add 10 drops Geranium EO <as per the STS recipe you can substitute Pink Grapefruit EO if necessary> and add 10 drops Sweet Fennel Seed EO
* You will have a pale off white thick solution once complete.
This will make A LOT of face wash.
*To make Face Wash take at least a 2 oz spray bottle and add 2 tablespoons (1 tablespoon per ounce) and add to it spring water. Shake and the solution will turn white.
You can also use this as a hand wash spray.
HOW TO USE:
Spray face literally over the sink and then apply a warm wet washcloth over the face and let sit for 60 sec then wipe clear; repeat this process 3-5 times or until you feel your face is clean or your makeup is off.
Once done. Treat face with your skin care regimen as normal.
